Moleanos is one of the most known limestone worldwide, and it is used for many years all over the world. For this reason, have been springing up different names in various parts of the world. At this moment the moleanos limestone has more than 7 different names, which the most popular is the name Moleanos.

 

There are several factors that cause this variation of the limestone name. The main ones are: the quarry or supplier that sells the stone, the distributor or sales people that are commercializing, the country where it is being commercialized, or the creation of new names for certain variations of stone, for example, by different color.

Mirabelle: It is a beige French Limestone, but due to less available of Mirabelle stone and the high price some suppliers started calling the Moleanos as Mirabelle to penetrate the French market.
Rochemaniere: Another name of a beige colored French limestone. For the same reason of Mirabelle name, the companies started calling the Moleanos as Rochemaniere.
